Protesters join Capital's first SlutWalk

SCORES of scantily-clad campaigners took to the city's streets at the weekend in Edinburgh's first ever SlutWalk.

The walkers want to put an end to what they claim is a culture in which it is considered acceptable to blame victims of sexual assault. They walked from West Parliament Square down the Royal Mile.

Thousands of women across the world have hit the streets to protest against the view that victims of sexual assault are in some way to blame.
