Project gets £480k boost

AN Edinburgh group that aims to help vulnerable women turn their lives around has received more than £480,000 from the Big Lottery Fund.

The Saheliya Women’s Learning Centre project provides 400 women from ethnic minority backgrounds with poor mental health with training for work, ESOL courses and accredited classes to improve their financial literacy. The project will help the women to build the skills for living more independently.
