Prisoner who absconded from Castle Huntly jail found by police

Police have traced a prisoner who absconded from a jail near Dundee.

Kieran Kiely, 23, was reported missing from Castle Huntly open prison at 4.20pm on Wednesday.

Police Scotland confirmed he had been traced on Monday and said they are still hunting his fellow absconder Daniel Hussain.

Hussain, 24, disappeared at the same time as Kiely.

Police believe Hussain has connections in Glasgow and Perth. He is 5ft 10ins and of medium build with short dark hair.

Members of the public are warned not to approach Hussain if they spot him and instead contact Police Scotland on 101.

Information can also be given anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
