Prisoner dies at Addiewell

Richard McGhie, 41, from Bothwell, Lanarkshire, was less than a month into a three-year sentence for assault to severe injury when he died.

He was convicted at Hamilton Sheriff Court on 21 October 2010.

He died on Monday at the privately-run prison.

Lothian and Borders Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a fatal accident inquiry would be held.
