Praise for hut workers

HEALTH staff working from huts as a new health centre is built have been praised for adapting to the environment.

Employees had to make the adjustment as work takes place on the Dalkeith Health Centre.

NHS Lothian bosses said while the scenario was not ideal, it was necessary to improve the facilities on offer in Midlothian.

Miriam Anderson, the health board's operational manager, said: "We are pleased that the work is progressing so well and we are all looking forward to getting into the new building."

It is hoped the centre will be complete by the summer.
