From Pop Queen to real thing

THE MINISTER who married Madonna and Guy Ritchie said she was "shocked" to be appointed one of the Queen's chaplains.

Reverend Susan Brown, who also baptised the celebrity couple's son Rocco, will preach before the monarch when she is resident at her Balmoral estate.

The Church of Scotland minister at Dornoch Cathedral said she was honoured to be appointed to the role.

Mrs Brown, 52, said: "I'm surprised, delighted and somewhat shocked by the appointment, as I had never thought for a second I would be a chaplain to Her Majesty.

Madonna and Ritchie were married at Skibo Castle in Dornoch on 22 December 2000.
