KPMG has been appointed as administrator and says it is hopeful of finding a buyer and ensuring that the Pontins name lives on.
All five sites, which employ a total of 850 staff - at Brean Sands in Somerset, Camber Sands in Sussex, Pakefield in Suffolk, Prestatyn Sands in Wales and Southport in Merseyside - will continue to cater for customers as normal and no redundancies have been made.
