The week in cartoons

Despite the Easter holidays, our cartoonists have been busy scribbling away as a glut of new stories have made the headlines this week.

Last week ended with the shock election victory for George Galloway in Bradford - not exactly great news for Labour leader Ed Miliband. And a surreal week in politics ended as the so-called pastie-gate rumbled on.

This week it was all about the Scottish independence referendum. First, there were accusations that the Scottish Government consultation had been hijacked by online Nationalists. Then the Westminster version emerged, arguing the case for a single question.

If only it was so simple for Edinburgh Zoo’s pandas, who let the pressure get to them in their 36-hour mating window.
