@scouriebeast Big difference between Alex Salmond and Cameron, Alex Salmond has a majority and a mandate, Cameron has neither.

@murdofraser I am getting rather tired of hearing about the SNP’s ‘overwhelming mandate’. It amounted to less than 23% of the voting population.

@roryscothorne Were there a referendum on UK leaving EU, would David Cameron approve of that being run from Brussels?

@derekrootboy If anyone’s interested, I’ve no fixed view on independence. Neither in principle for nor against it. But unionist parties help SNP.

@ImAEightiesFan I wish Downing Street would put an end to the SNP. Independence is going to ruin this country and it will destroy the Union.

@malcolmchishol1 (Malcolm Chisholm) Labour must speak out against Cameron’s mad meddling which will greatly increase support for independence

@davidmagliano If Scotland gains independence, does the Union Jack become a red asterisk?

@ramsay59 Scotland wants referendum sooner rather than later. All Parties want single question. Is Alex Salmond the roadblock to real referendum?

@griffithstephen If Scotland wants to leave the UK, surely the whole UK should vote. We are a union, and not an Empire.

@petercranie So the stage is set. Salmond to offer Scots a vote on Scottish independence and membership of the EU then? Cameron should have steered clear.

@theSNP We will stick to what we said in election - referendum on independence in second half of parly term.

@johannlamont We want the referendum to be held as quickly as possible and we want it to be run in Scotland.
