Scots fund to tackle climate change

THE Scottish Government is to establish a fund to help poor countries cope with the impact of climate change.

The Climate Justice Fund will be launched in spring, to address the fact that the poorest countries are hardest hit by climate change.

Environment minister Stewart Stevenson said: “It is a travesty that it’s the poorest people in the world’s most undeveloped countries who are hardest hit by climate change. They are least able to respond. The onus is on the international community to take action.”
