Salmond’s praise for disabled workers

The First Minister has paid tribute to staff at a Glasgow factory where more than half of the 240 workers have a disability.

Alex Salmond visited the Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries (RSBi) manufacturing facility in Springburn yesterday.

RSBi is operated by City Building and specialises in manufacturing a wide range of furniture. The facility aims to provide opportunities for the visually impaired, and people with disabilities, as well as helping towards the economic regeneration of the community.

Mr Salmond said: “It is so important to recognise achievements like those of the STUC award winners at Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries here in Springburn.”
