TODAY’S MAIN NEWS:

More than eight out of ten businesses in Scotland do not yet have plans in place to deal with the result of the referendum if the country votes for independence, a new survey has revealed.

Almost 84 per cent of Scottish firms that were questioned in the latest KPMG Business Instincts Survey said they had not yet considered a continuity plan for a ‘Yes’ vote.

Commonwealth Games fans attending Glasgow Green have hit out at officials who told them to remove their Yes badges. Spectators revealed they were told to take off the button badges at the gates by security guards who told them they ‘represent a protest’.

In other news, Alex Salmond has been accused of a “huge deception” over his plans for a currency union after a Yes vote, and a new pro-independence group - Mums for Change - has launched with an open letter calling for Scotland must vote Yes in the Scottish independence referendum.
