Referendum round-up: Austerity | BBC | China
TODAY’S MAIN NEWS:
Finance secretary John Swinney has claimed that a vote against independence will lead to years of austerity for Scots. Mr Swinney signalled earlier this week that he is ready to borrow billions of pounds after a Yes vote in order to avoid another climate of austerity.
Meanwhile, Kezia Dugdale has pulled out of co-hosting a BBC radio show on the independence debate. The Labour MSP had been lined up to host the show alongside former SNP MSP Andrew Wilson.
