Already this summer the cabinet has staged its discussions in Lerwick, Hawick and Campbeltown.
Over the past six years more than 4,000 people have attended summer cabinet events across the country.
Mr Salmond said: “The Scottish Government’s cabinet tours have been an enormous success since they were introduced six years ago. They are a great opportunity, not only for government to hear and see concerns, but for communities to buttonhole ministers on what matters to them.
“As a local resident I am particularly delighted that Fraserburgh is set to host the cabinet and would urge local residents to get involved and come along to the public discussion – let ministers hear your concerns and ask us the tough questions on the topics that matter.”
