Man in court over Edinburgh attempted murder
An 18-year old has appeared on petition charged with attempted murder of Jie Yu in Pilton.
Gary Reid, from Edinburgh, made a brief appearance in private before Sheriff Pamela Bowman. No plea or declaration was made and the case was continued for further inquiry. Reid was remanded in custody.
His appearance in court follows an alleged attack on the 37-year-old father-of-three, the owner of the Chinese takeaway restaurant, Peking Garden, in West Pilton Park on Wednesday last week.
