IDS faces degree claims

CONSERVATIVE leader Iain Duncan Smith was today facing claims that the official account of his education and early career was inaccurate and misleading.

Mr Duncan Smith’s entry in Who’s Who and his CV on the Tory party website both state he was educated at the Universita di Perugia in Italy.

However, according to reports, Mr Duncan Smith attended the Universita per Stranieri, which did not grant degrees when he studied there in 1973.
