David McLetchie claims SNP ‘faking’ over Economist’s ‘Skintland’ cover

CONSERVATIVE MSP David McLetchie has accused the SNP of faking anger over The Economist’s front cover, which renamed Scotland as “Skintland” and Edinburgh as “Edinborrow”.

The jibes and the headline “It’ll cost you – the price of Scottish independence” yesterday provoked a furious response from the Nationalists.

But Mr McLetchie said: “The SNP would be better advised to answer the important points made about Scotland’s future. Instead, they are manufacturing outrage at anyone who dares to question their perspective.”
