Coronavirus in Scotland: No new Scots Covid deaths as case numbers fall again

The number of Scots testing positive for Covid has fallen again by eight to 43, the latest daily figures show.

And there were no reported deaths from the virus, meaning more than a month has now passed north of the border since any fatalities were recorded among those testing positive.

It is the second daily fall in positive cases after 65 in the figures published on Friday.

There were 243 people in hospital confirmed with the virus, the latest figures show, which is a fall of one on the previous day, marking another new low since the outbreak first struck in March.

There were three people in intensive care.
