Climate change award for Holyrood research man

A SCOTTISH Parliament researcher has received an award from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society in recognition of his work on Scotland's Climate Change Bill.

Graeme Cook, a senior research specialist working with the parliament's transport, infrastructure and climate change committee, received the President's Medal and an RSGS honorary fellowship for undertaking work which the society deemed to be positive for geography in Scotland.

Mr Cook said: "I was totally flabbergasted."
