Celebrate the Bard with an 'alternative' supper

EDINBURGH'S People's Festival is staging an "alternative" Burns supper on Saturday to celebrate "the people's poet and radical".

Leading the celebration will be former Ayrshire MSP Campbell Martin, stand-up comedian Vladimir MacTavish and singer songwriter David Ferrard. The event is being held at The Newsroom in Leith Street at 7:30pm.

Tickets, priced 10 and 5, include haggis/veggie haggis dinner and are available via the website, www.edinburghpeoples festival.org
