820,000 move up from UK

THE SNP today has welcomed statistics showing more than 820,000 people from the rest of the UK have moved to Scotland since the Nationalists came to power in 2007.

Migration statistics show there are 100,000 more people in Scotland.

Joan McAlpine, SNP MSP for South Scotland, said: “Our increasingly multi-cultural society is growing as people choose our beautiful country as their home. Scotland is a dynamic and growing country. More people are choosing to make Scotland their home than ever before.”
