Police won't shine light on car fires

FRANCE will not publish figures for the number of cars set on fire on New Year's Eve, the interior ministry has said.

Youths in depressed suburbs have been torching hundreds of vehicles on Hogmanay for decades in what has become a competitive pursuit.
