Police seek witnesses after man mugged near stadium

police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed outside Easter Road stadium in the early hours of Friday morning.

The 38-year-old was attacked in Albion Place just after midnight by two teenage males who threatened him with what appeared to be a razor blade, then punched him to the ground and stole his mobile phone.

A police spokesman said: "While the victim did not suffer serious injury, he was still left shaken as a result of his ordeal, and we are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch with police.
