Police seek dead man's family

POLICE are appealing for information to help locate next of kin for a 65-year-old man who died over the weekend.

Douglas Easson was found at his home address in Spittal Street, Edinburgh on Saturday, 3 April.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

It is believed Mr Easson was married around 40 years before getting a divorce. His ex-wife is thought to have then moved to Canada with their child. He may also have a brother who lives in Edinburgh.

Mr Easson was employed by Scottish & Newcastle Brewery and was known to have been a postman in Edinburgh for some 20 years prior to his retirement.
