Police saddle up for temple visit

POLICE horses Rocky and Fusilier are set to visit the Capital’s only Sikh temple as part of a drive to boost community relations.

The horses from the Lothian and Borders Police mounted section will visit the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara temple in Sheriff Brae, Leith tomorrow.

Pc Keith McQuaid said: “Bringing the horses is a great icebreaker, and it means we can talk to adults about issues concerning them in their area, while at the same time engaging with the kids in a fun way.”
