Police probe shop murder

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the murder of a shop worker who was stabbed to death in a city newsagents.

Fatou Saine, 38, was attacked on Tuesday in McColl's in Glasgow's St Enoch Square.

The assailant, believed to be her estranged husband, was said to have then turned the knife on himself. Sheikh Saine, 40, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and remained in hospital yesterday. His condition was described as stable.

Police were called to the store at around 11:55am, where they found the dead worker and the injured man.
