Police are appealing for information after the incident, which took place in Musselburgh’s Goose Green Place on Saturday at around 2pm.

Officers said a Shih Tzu was attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog. The Shih Tzu’s owner was left with minor injuries. The dog police are looking for is described as tan in colour and may go by the name of Mylo. Officers are also keen to trace two males seen with the animal. Those who can help should call 101.
