Police probe after man found dead in Falkirk house

POLICE are investigating the death of a man found at a house near Falkirk this morning.

The body of the 31-year-old was discovered at the property on Station Road in the Brightons area at around 8.30pm.

The area has been cordoned off while police carry out enquiries.

Officers said they are currently treating his death as unexplained, though it is understood there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Forth Valley Division are investigating following after a 31-year-old man was found dead within his home address in Station Road, Brightons on Tuesday 1st October.

“Enquiries to establish the man’s previous movements will result in police activity within the Brightons area and the local community is thanked for their co-operation and support.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
