Police officer tasers burglary suspects

TWO suspected burglars were in custody yesterday after being tasered by a passing police officer as they left a petrol station.

The officer was driving past the BP garage in Burpham, Surrey, at 9:45pm on Sunday when he saw someone wearing a balaclava appearing to empty a till, Surrey Police said.
