Khalid Anwar, 40, is alleged to have had sex with the woman without her consent on two occasions in 2011 at a property in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire.

The woman, who cannot be named, said one rape took place after they had consensual sex four times in one day.

She said she did not consent the fifth time because she was “sore”.

The High Court in Glasgow heard that Anwar “bombarded” her with texts and e-mails and turned up to her home uninvited, standing in her garden for hours.

The 44-year-old was giving evidence at Anwar’s trial, where he faces a string of charges including raping her twice between April and October 2011.

Anwar, from Edinburgh, denies the charges and has lodged a special defence of consent.

The jury was told that after the alleged rapes took place Anwar intimidated the woman.

She said: “There were instances where he would turn up at the house uninvited and I didn’t know how I was going to get rid of him.

“Some of the stuff was quite intimidating. He would stand outside my back garden for hours and he would park his car in my drive, so I was trapped in.”

The woman told the court that on one occasion Anwar slapped her when she returned home from a night shift in the early hours of the morning.

She told the court that he drove up behind her car with no lights on.

The alleged victim said that, after he slapped her, she told him: “Just go before you end up with the police at your door.”

The court heard that on another occasion, when he turned up at her home, she answered the door believing he was at work.

She said: “As soon as I opened the door, he put his foot in the door. I told him to leave, I told him to go.”

The court heard that she ran to the bedroom and called 999.

The woman said she told him: “Just leave and I will hang up.”

She added: “He just wasn’t, he just kept going on and on and on. I don’t even know what he was saying.

“I was just hoping someone could hear on the phone.”

The woman said the police phoned her back and sent officers to her house.

The jury was told of a phone call later that month, in January 2012, when Anwar, who was an officer with the former Lothian and Borders Police force, phoned her and said: “I’m going to f*** you up.”

She was asked if she recognised his voice and replied “Yes”.

The court was read a series of text messages exchanged between Anwar and his alleged victim.

In one message, he told her: “I hope you f****** electrocute yourself and die and you lay undiscovered and your pets eat you.”

The court was also read text messages exchanged in October 2011, allegedly the day after she was raped for the second time.

She told him: “I’m annoyed you carried on when I asked you not to.”

The court heard he replied, saying: “Afterwards [you] said you enjoyed it”.

“That was time before,” she replied.

The trial before Lady Scott continues.
