Police in missing person appeal

POLICE have appealed for help tracking down a missing man from York, who it is believed may be in Edinburgh.

Steven Gaffney, aged 39, was last seen by his friends in Haxby at around 2:30pm on Monday.

The last time he made contact with anyone was in the early hours of Tuesday, 1 June, and he has not spoken to friends or family since.

Police said he had links to the Edinburgh area and may be in the Capital.

He was reported missing by his family on Tuesday evening after he failed to turn up for work.

Mr Gaffney, from Acomb, is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall with a slim build and short brown hair spiked up in the middle. He has a brown beard and wears glasses.
