Police investigating the death of a man in South Lanarkshire have made an arrest.

The body of Jeremy Paradine, 45, was found at a house in Kyle Court, Cambuslang, at around 2am on Saturday.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and is currently being held in police custody.

He has also been arrested over an alleged assault on a 49-year-old man, officers confirmed.

The man is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
