Police hunt thief who tried to take boy’s unicycle

POLICE in Nairn are hunting a would-be thief who assaulted an 11-year-old boy and tried to steal his unicycle.

The boy was attacked last week, around 4pm on Friday, at the junction between Waverley Road and Lodgehill Road.

Police said that the suspect made an unsuccessful attempt to steal the young boy’s unicycle, before running off.

The suspect is described as being around 5ft 5in, with short dark hair and wearing a blue top.

He is believed to be in his early to mid teens.
