Police in hunt for flasher who struck on cycle route

POLICE are hunting a man who indecently exposed himself to a 38-year-old woman in the Capital.

The incident happened as the victim, who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome, walked alone by the Innocent Railway from Duddingston Road West in the Holyrood area.

The woman was approached by a man, who grabbed her arm and exposed himself to her. The man then made a number of lewd sexual comments and threats.

The incident happened at around 10am on Monday, November 17.

The man is described as white, 16 to 20 years old, between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build, pale complexion and spotty chin.

He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, and black tracksuit bottoms.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident or seen the suspect.

They are particularly interested in talking to three cyclists who are believed to have passed them as the incident took place.

A police spokesman said: "The woman was wearing a purple waterproof anorak and a distinctive red fleece, hat and gloves."
