Police hit reporting targets

POLICE have hit targets for submitting reports of crimes to the procurator fiscal within 28 days, new figures have shown.

Officers from the Lothian and Borders force submitted a total of 26,334 reports to the fiscal’s office between last April and January, with 82 per cent beating the four-week mark. The target is 80 per cent.

Officers also hit the 80 per cent target for submitting reports to the Children’s Reporter within two weeks, managing 82 per cent in the same period.
