Police handed over child to stranger

Five Metropolitan Police officers will face misconduct proceedings after mistakenly handing over a toddler to a stranger, the Independent Police Complaints Commission said.

Audrey Nyanol, aged just 18 months, was handed over to a woman who was believed to be a member of her family.
