Police chiefs agree deal

A SPECIAL parliamentary committee is to be set up in the wake of the power struggle between the two most senior figures involved in establishing Scotland’s new single police force.

Chief Constable Steve House and Scottish Police Authority chairman Vic Emery have agreed a deal over who is in charge of finance and support staff. Justice committee convener Christine Grahame said: “It is vital we get this right first time.”
