Police bikers hit the skids

POLICE motorcyclists in the force area have been involved in 14 accidents over the last four years.

During last year, two accidents were recorded, with an officer suffering a strained back in one, and escaping uninjured in another.

In 2009, two more accidents saw officers suffer strained lower limbs in one crash, and a strained back in the second.

Six accidents were recorded in Lothian and Borders during 2008.

Four accidents were recorded in 2006 while none were recorded in 2007.
