Police appeal for missing girl

POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a missing girl in East Lothian.

Rachael Richmond was last seen at her home in Drummohr Gardens, Wallyford on Saturday 4 February.

Since then, the 15-year-old has failed to make contact with her family who are now growing concerned for her safety.

She is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall with a medium build, shoulder-length dark brown hair with a red fringe and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a dark hooded top with white writing on the chest, light-brown jacket, jeans and had on white metal hoop earrings. When she left her home she was also carrying a holdall.

A police spokesman said today: “Rachel is a confident and fairly independent girl and while there are no immediate concerns for her well-being, we are keen to find her as soon as possible and return her home.

“Anyone who has seen Rachael since Saturday 4 February or who can assist in tracing her is asked to contact police immediately.

“Similarly, we would urge Rachael to come forward and let us know she is safe and well.”
