Police appeal after pet cat is shot

A CAT has died after he was shot, police said.

The owner found Paolo seriously injured when he returned home to Saughtonhall Avenue in Edinburgh.

She took the animal to the vet, who found a pellet, possibly from an air weapon, lodged in his chest. The year-old cat died of his injuries last Thursday, the day after he was shot.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: “This incident has left the owner distressed and we are asking anyone who may know what happened to get in touch.”
