Police appeal after man dies from burns

POLICE have appealed for information after a man found with serious burns at the side of a road died in hospital.

The 53-year-old man was discovered on the A82 between Crianlarich and Tyndrum in Stirlingshire at about 8:25am yesterday.

He was airlifted to hospital in Glasgow, but later died.

The injured man's car was discovered nearby and the road was briefly closed. Central Scotland Police said they were not treating the incident as suspicious. The man was from the Lanarkshire area.

A police spokeswoman said yesterday: "Our inquiries into the circumstances are at an early stage, and we appeal for anybody, with information to come forward."
