Police appeal after off–licence robbery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at an off-sales in Newton Mearns.

A 37-year-old woman was working in the Wine Rack in Broomburn Drive when two men burst into the shop, brandishing a bladed weapon and what was believed to be a firearm, demanding money.

The men stole approximately £500 in cash, a quantity of cigarettes and a laptop.
