Plot thickens as the Makars stage Dinner

THE Edinburgh Makars have been entertaining audiences at St Bride’s Theatre, Orwell Terrace, this week with a 1937 comedy drama Dinner with the Family.

It charts the adventures of the debonair Georges Delachaume, who has invited an innocent, but not so naïve, young lady to dinner to meet his parents.

However, beneath his bonhomie lurks a murky past – including a loveless marriage and a sordid affair with his best friend’s wife.

The last performance is tonight at 7.30pm.
