Plans in store for care home

PLANS to transform a disused nursing home are set to create more than 100 jobs.

Proposals to turn the former Lanark Road West care home in Currie into a convenience store will be unveiled on Tuesday.

The scheme could create 25 full and part-time jobs plus 100 during building work.

Fraser Lynes of Cruden Homes, the firm behind the plans, said: “We’ve taken great care to ensure the building we’ve proposed is sympathetic to the local architecture.”
