PIP victim to have her say

A WOMAN whose PIP silicone breast implant ruptured one year after being fitted has vowed to contribute to a review into how to better protect cosmetic surgery patients.

Jenny Brown, 41, who was given the implants in 2005, said she wanted to have her say in the Department of Health study.

The Cramond resident, who has since become a member of the PIP Implants Scotland campaign group, said: “I’m pleased that the Department of Health will get a chance to hear the real voices that need to be heard.

“It’s clear that PIP victims across the UK share the same concerns about the set-up, regulation and response of private clinics and NHS in terms of cosmetic surgery.”
