IT’s a barking example of dog-whistle politics.

The result of the Labour leadership debate was “predicted” by dogs Nuala, the Dachshund and Douglas the Jack Russell, pictured.

The dogs were presented with four flavours of dog food next to a picture of each would-be leader Andy Burham, Jeremy Corbyn, Liz Kendall and Yvette Cooper, from left.

The choices were lamb for Mr Burham, salmon for Mr Corbyn, turkey for Ms Kendall, and pork for Yvette Cooper.

It seems Mr Corbyn was the canines’ choice.
