Photo competition for pupils

DEPUTY First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has launched a photographic competition inviting school pupils across Scotland to capture “the power of the sea”.

The competition, being run under the auspices of the Saltire Prize for marine energy technology, aims to raise awareness of the natural environment and the potential of marine energy. Renowned Scots photographer David Eustace has agreed to judge the entries.

The competition is open to pupils across three age groups covering primary, S1-3 and S4-6. The winning entry will receive photography equipment and professional lessons for them and their school. More details are available at: www.scotland.org/powerofthesea
