Perth man fined after damaging car with barrel roll

A PERTH man has been fined £400 and ordered to pay almost £600 in compensation after damaging a car by rolling over its bonnet in the style of TV’s Starsky and Hutch.

Mark McCole, 25, admitted jumping on the car in Perth’s Rae Place on January 29, then subsequently punching a police officer who attempted to arrest him.

At Perth Sheriff Court, McCole also admitted headbutting a window and breaking a car wing mirror in two separate incidents on October 13 and December 25.

McCole damaged the Renault Clio with a move similar to that made famous on the 1970s cop show. He was fined £400, told to pay £595 compensation to his victims, and also ordered to carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work.
