The couple decided not to let this stop them, and went ahead and had the wedding anyway in their Falkirk home, with their two dachshunds playing best man and bridesmaid.

Jacqui, 34, is a wedding photographer and captured the exchanging of rings, the wedding breakfast and even ordered a second wedding dress so the groom would still be surprised by her first dress on their real big day, which will now take place in September.

Jacqui said: "We are both self employed within the events industry so the pandemic has really affected our businesses and 2020 hasn't been great to us so far.

"We were gutted to have to reschedule our wedding, and had the idea to throw our own wedding with just the dogs Max and Lola as witnesses and we had a fantastic Champagne filled day.

"It was pretty surreal to be at home all day in a wedding dress - and doing the dishes must have given my neighbours a good laugh - but we had a lovely time and broke up the monotony of lock down life. I've really missed shooting weddings over the past month so had a great time editing my own images."

Tony (34) a tour manager in the music industry added: "Jacqui looked beautiful and seeing her for the first time as a bride took my breath away. I can't wait for our real wedding in September in front of everyone we love."
