Robyn Knox: Mum's moving tribute to 'beautiful baby girl', 3, killed in road tragedy in Fife

Police inquiries continue as donations into online appeal

The devastated mum of a three-year old girl who died after being struck by a car in a Fife village has paid moving tribute to the “most loving, kind, gentle and caring wee soul with the biggest heart.”

Little Robyn Knox was rushed to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after the incident in Main Street, Townhill, Dunfermline, on Monday, but died a short time later.

Her mum, Daanielle, and her dad, Barry, said they were “absolutely shattered into million pieces.”

In a moving tribute, posted on Facebook, they said: “I am genuinely broken,

“Never did I think on Sunday I’d give you your last bath, your last milkshake and packet of Oreos, or paint your nails for the very last time.

“We were blessed with the most beautiful baby girl and we will forever remember her that way.”

And they added: “She was super excited to be a big sister at the end of this year and we will make sure her baby twins know about her and speak about her everyday.”

A crowdfunding page set up by Robyn’s uncle, Paul Marshall, has been flooded with donations.

It has netted almost £4000 to help with funeral costs, while, next week, Paul plans to walk the West Highland Way in Robyn’s memory, and raise further funds.

On the appeal page, he wrote: “ Robyn was only three years old and had her whole life ahead of her. I am hoping to raise some funds for her funeral to help give our little princess the send off she deserves.”

Police said inquiries were continuing into the circumstances, and have appealed to any motorists with dash cam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.
